The staff were extremely friendly, helpful & professional.

Rooms were clean, the interiors of the rooms are very modern. The skylight is fancy, too bad it was cloudy day and we couldnt see any stars.

The Godley Hotel offers country-style accommodation in the alpine village of Lake Tekapo on the South Island. The hotel is centrally located in the village with views of the lake and mountains. Incredible location and great facilities. Well worth it!

MacKenzie Country Hotel is located in Twizel, in the heart of the Aoraki Mount Cook and MacKenzie Country Region. It offers modern rooms with picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. The property is very well maintained even though is not new. The front desk is very helpfull. Good location.

The accessible bathroom is a bonus for our elderly family members. The host is also very kind and responsive, sending us reminder and everything we need to know. Among the eight different accommodations (motels, serviced apartment, hotels etc.) I stayed during my 2-week New Zealand trip, this place is on the top two :) Highly recommended!

This was a great place in Lake Tekapo. The community was quiet, the kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom nice and had a wonderful hot shower with high pressure, and the beds were SO comfy and had a much-needed heated pad. We had a car so it was a 4-minute drive to Four Square grocery (where you can walk to the Tekapo waterfront), but we also walked, and it took about 20-25 minutes, so depending on what you'd prefer, it's still reasonably close for those without a car. One thing to note, but not necessarily a bad thing, they do have a washer, but only a drying rack. This didn't bother me, but just wanted to let others know. Overall the stay was very cozy and I would absolutely come back here.
