The hotel is very lovely and we thought it was very good value compared with hotels in other cities eg. Fukuoka. The service is excellent and the hotel is very clean. The public bath was lovely too. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable.

Unlike the Miyako in Kyoto, this 208-room property is not associated with Westin/Marriott. The hotel is relatively new, around four years old when writing this. We picked the Miyako Hotel Hakata for its excellent location right adjacent to the Hakata train station. The reception is on the third floor. The staff is friendly and professional, and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and bright. Fully equipped with any amenities you might need and with fantastic beds and pillows. The lights, curtains and drapes are controlled by a tablet on a bedside table. The hotel features a lovely outdoor pool on the top floor amd also has a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We tried the ten course dinner and it was very good. When in Fukuoka we will pick the Miyako again. One of the top hotels we have stayed at during our many hotel nights in Japan. Chi va per turismo in Giappone in genere si limita a percorrere il consueto itinerario Tokyo-Kyoto-Nara e se va bene arriva fino ad Hiroshima. Il Kyushu, al sud del Giappone, è stata una vera scoperta e aver scelto di fare base a Fukuoka, grande città di affari e commerciale ma ancora con un'anima provinciale, è stata perfetta per permetterci di visitare località come Nagasaki, Arita, Saga.

Posizione fantastica e staff gentilissimo. Le camere sono piccole ma hanno tutto quello che serve. La posizione è centralissima e a due passi dalla metropolitana, in un quartiere pieno di vita e di ristoranti, assolutamente sicuro anche se viaggiate da soli. Forniscono tutti i giorni pigiama e kit per la cura del corpo. Raccomandatissimo, se ripasso da Fukuoka tornerò.

It was an exceptional stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the use of the space, combining both modern and traditional aesthetics. There were several little nooks that added surprise as we slowly discovered them at our own pace. We were delighted with the showcase of local ceramics and tea, and the welcome tea started us on our little tea journey, the start of a relaxing two days spent here. There was plenty of seating all around the ryokan, to relax, to wait, to medidate, to just stare into nature… A big thank you to all the staff we met, from the station pick up to the small conversations at breakfast. Looking forward to visit again at a different season to experience it anew.

The property exceeded my expectations. It provided us with a very relaxing stay, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The bath was very pleasant, although there was no open air public bath (contrary to the description). The room was spacious and comfortable. But it was the food that blew my mind: it was the most lavish feast I've ever had in onsen. It's also worth mentioning that the place is easily reached by the local bus.

We found everything was great here, the room, the private and public hot bath; the food and the staff. The location of Ryokan Yoshidaya is excellent. It is close to the river where it has a road of sakura. We had a perfect walk in the morning and the view was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed at Worikara, a villa just a stone's throw away from its main ryokan and a perfect place for us to relax and unwind after a day's hike. We liked the breakfast and the dinner which were rich in varieties and taste. Finally, we must give credits to the staff who served us. They were friendly, helpful and patient to answer our questions. The translation system in the mobile phones they were using was perfect to break the language barrier and in fact, some of the staff who served us spoke excellent English. Our only regret was that we had no time to visit its cafe. We would definitely stay at this ryokan again when we visit Fukuoka again next year.
