It was the first town we stayed in The Gambia, while we were traveling with cars. The hosts were super nice and very very helpful. Staying there was really refreshing! If you want to understand how nice and welcoming Gambian people are, you should definitely book this place.

Our getaway weekend at Bintang Bolong was one of the best vacation experiences we ever had! It’s nature environment is relaxing & refreshing. Great food, drinks & service! We checked out another lodge close by, but decided to go with Bintang because the rooms overlook the sea- which is so romantic & calming. We even got beautiful souvenirs from their shop! Great stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at AbCa's Creek Lodge! The lodge is charming with a variety of different seating areas along the creek. Ansu the guide gave us a great hiking tour, as well as a lovely boat tour through the mangroves, where we saw a variety of birds. Do note that the creek tide ebbs and flows - the creek looks nearly empty in the late afternoon compared to the morning, so time your water activities accordingly. We later went kayaking through the mangroves which was beautiful though we opted to turn around instead of going all the way to the village which meant fighting the current and ebbing tide - a bit of a physical feat but well worth the adventure! The staff was very accommodating, including storing our luggage late and organizing a driver to and from the Lodge (who also kindly stopped at the artisanal market en route). Our wooden stilt room had both a fan and A/C and was quite comfortable (though note the bathroom is private but open to the air, so beware some mosquitoes and spiders). Food options were plentiful and delicious. Absolutely loved relaxing outside watching dozens of monkeys! Highly recommend, this was our favorite part of our visit in The Gambia.

I liked everything about Fathala Wildlife Reserve. The tented room was large, quiet, clean and very comfortable. The A/C worked well, and I paid for a router in the room to have excellent WiFi connections. I loved the outdoor shower, and the peace and serenity of the setting.

Feel Free Lodge er staðsett á Jinack Island og er með sjávarútsýni, veitingastað, sameiginlega setustofu, bar, garð og sólarverönd. The perfect place to enjoy the paradise in Gambia! Excelent service and delicious food!

Les Fromagers er staðsett í Missira, 6,6 km frá Fathala-friðlandinu og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garð og sameiginlega setustofu. The hotel is located in a beautiful village next to a lake and the oldest tree in this region (it's very impressive to see). We stayed at les Fromagers because we wanted to visit the Fathala Wild life reserve that is close by. On our arrival we found out that there are so many other activities to do like going fishing, watching crocodiles, visiting the islands etc. The owner of the place are very friendly and helpful. We experienced their great hospitality and felt very comfortable during our stay. I can recommend you also to try out their restaurant, since you get very tasty seafood there, freshly caught by the local fisherman. We will definitely visit again, when we are in Senegal.

B&B Mariamacounda er með sundlaugarútsýni og býður upp á gistingu með sundlaug með útsýni, garð og bar, í um 23 km fjarlægð frá Fathala-friðlandinu. We had a wonderful stay. The room and the place is very clean. The swimming pool is well kept, and the breakfast is yummy. The hosts are kind and helpful. I would be happy to go back.
