Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was wonderful. Rooms were clean and cozy. Ample parking right behind the hotel and an easy walk to the center of town. Our room also afforded a lovely view of the lake. The front on the hotel has a lovely seating area and garden where my wife and I had an evening drink from the hotel's honesty bar (well-stocked).

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. I loved how this was a dog friendly hotel.

I loved absolutely everything. This will now be my base whenever I go to the Lakes. The location is stunning, couldn't get enough of the views from my window and everywhere around. The room was a very good size, comfortable, very clean. Staff very friendly but professional. Lovely breakfast with cooked items buffet and some pastries, fruit, cereal and yogurts. Generally lovely facilities, especially the lounge with the fireplace.

Set in 2 acres of tranquil wooded gardens. The charming rooms have TVs and tea and coffee facilities, and many have breathtaking views of the valley and fells. Amazing location, really amazing!

Situated on the beautiful lower slopes of Skiddaw, Lyzzick Hall Hotel offers impressive mountain views and an on-site restaurant with extensive wine cellar. Great hotel, exceptionally clean and tidy. Staff were all very friendly and very attentive. Excellent food and service.

Overlooking picturesque Lake Derwentwater, the four-star Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa is set in forty acres of tranquil land with a waterfall and a lakeshore. lovely food so clean and spa was amszing maybe make get more informed that you need pre book spa as only on small print but stsff rang us straight away with a cancellation

Located in the heart of Keswick, the refurbished Skiddaw Hotel offers good food, and spacious rooms with tea/coffee making facilities. Dinner was excellent. Location was very good. Totally, this hotel is good.

Set in 5 acres of woodland gardens, The Mary Mount Hotel is set on the shores of Derwentwater. With countryside views, rooms are en suite. There is also a restaurant and free WiFi throughout. We were joined for lunch by relatives and we were celebrating 60 yrs of marriage. Our lunch was delightful. Friends and a family member joined us for an evening meal and I was somewhat disappointed with the meal especially the Sticky Toffee pudding which was pure delight at lunchtime and was served with raspberries and blue berries. The evening Sticky Toffee Pudding had no fruit on and was served with a skimpy amount of sauce - I was disappointed too with the Chicken.......It was a super special night and I was disappointed with the evening meal.
