Gorgeous property, the apartment was much more spacious than I expected. The stone walls and decor was absolutely stunning. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, modern kitchen. The location is excellent in old town close to the cathedral. I had breakfast at the cafe which was also great.

This attractive hotel is located in the charming village of Madremanya, 18 km from Girona. Set in gardens, it offers a seasonal outdoor pool, sun terrace and free bike rental. Breakfast was delicious and copious. The quality of the food was outstanding. Jaume, the hotelier, was professional and welcoming. He made my wife and I feel at home. He offered advice on points of interest, best routes and best parking areas. He made us feel at home. His staff was equally courteous and professional. We had dinner twice at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. Everything is reasonably priced. A big plus is the village of Madremanya itself. Authentic and unaffected by tourism. We did not want to leave.

It is situated in a medieval village and its location is magical. It is quiet and you see only nature around it. The hotel is behind walls, so it truly feels like a hidden gem. It has a nice kept garden with two pools. We arrived with our two dogs, which was easy and uncomplicated. Outside the hotel you can find lots of green walks. A great place to explore many sights and the coast. Important to mention the kindness and patience we encountered when we arrived. We arrived in the dark and I made the mistake not to read the hosts email before arrival, so I took the wrong turn and got stuck in the medieval village due to its VERY narrow streets. It is only made for very small cars . Don't do the same mistake and do not drive into the village with your car. There is another easy way around the village!! I called the hotel and the manager came down to help us while other villagers tried to help me to set back out of the village, which was a very stressful and long undertaking. Once out I was upset about it all, but the manager stayed kind, calm and helpful and helped me to distress. Thank you again.

Casa Cundaro is located in Girona’s Jewish Quarter, less than 100 metres from the city’s cathedral. Set in a traditional Jewish house, it features rooms and apartments with balconies. Great location. Very calm, eaceful atmosphere.

Situated next to Devesa Park, DoubleTree by Hilton Girona is 300 metres from Girona Auditorium and Convention Centre. This modern hotel has a rooftop swimming pool and offers free WiFi throughout. Lovely clean and spacious hotel within easy walking distance to the centre and old quarter. We were given a free upgrade to a suite, which was a very nice touch. The room was really spacious with a separate living area and a huge TV in each room. Also a walk in wardrobe in the bedroom. A little bit of luxury on a fabulous weekend. The pool on the roof terrace was well kept and very welcome after a busy day sightseeing. The bar was also very reasonably priced. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we like to eat in new places, but it always smelt good. All of the staff were very nice, friendly and professional, and we will definitely stay in a Double Tree hotel again. And I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Girona.
