The 2 gentlemen (at the reception - I think they are the owners), are so kind and attentive. Everytime we have stayed there, we felt comfortable and they have done their best to attend our needs. The hotel is very clean and super close to the beach.

The staff are extremely friendly and acknowledged our 2nd visit to the hotel. The food is the best hotel food we have had in Spain. The breakfast choices are exceptional.

Taverna de la Sal Boutique Hotel in L'Escala has been renovated and it is located in the old town. It provides adults-only accommodation with a terrace and a bar. This hotel is a gem, located off the main square of L'Escala where we had a view of the sea from our room. There is also a lovely roof terrace to enjoy. The room was restful and relaxed with a really comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Matthew and Mariona are excellent hosts; warm, welcoming and professional. The continental breakfast was to a high standard with a variety of healthy and delicious options on offer. In addition, there is a first rate restaurant in the hotel which offers a varied and interesting menu- not to be missed if in L'Escala! We hope to be back soon. Thank you Mariona and Matthew for looking after us so well.
