Situated in Arraial do Cabo, a few steps from Anjos Beach, Pousada Canto da Baleia features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. My room faces the beach, so I was able to appreciate the beautiful sunrise!! It was so impressive. The breakfast was awesome, too. The staff was very attentive. I always felt their warm hospitality.

This place was the highlight of my one month stay in Rio. It was an unexpected diamond. I booked the room based off the price they had listed. I didn't expect much, but I got there, I was blown away. The room was great and the veiw was amazing. They have an AMAZING breakfast and serve food to order all day.

The homey feeling of the whole area. You feel like you walked into your private backyard at your villa. The breakfast was good, fresh fruit and all the basics one needs, the pool area is small but very nice and zen. It was usually also very quiet during the day so one had almost exclusive use of the pool. Ideal place to relax. Staff was very polite and professional and try cleaning done to a high standard. Shower was great too with high pressure and hot water.

We loved our stay, firstly the staff are treasures, especially Janaina who is so kind, thoughtful and a pleasure to meet. I have been amazed at the good people we have met in our travels through Argentina and Brazil. The breakfast every morning would put most 5 star hotels too shame! Villa Lulu is a beautifully and colourfully decorated & designed guest house with all you need in amenities - coming home after a day on the beach it was an oasis to have a swim and a beer from the fridge (works on honesty system) It is close to Geriba beach (surfing and wide open beach) literally 3 minute walk, down a quiet cobbled road - we loved it being away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristic areas that are not our style - we did get Ubers to explore some of the other beaches which was easy and hassle free. I really recommend Villa Lulu if you are inclined to our way of thinking

The pool and jacuzzi. The owner and his team will do their utmost for you to have a great stay. Nice people manage this hotel. There is a massive super market right at the corner. Handy for refills! Also LGBT friendly.
