I absolutely loved the location, I liked that it wasn't in the middle of the busier part of Montevideo but had everything you needed. My room was neat, featuring a comfortable bed and a delightful balcony. I shared a well-kept kitchen, common area, and bathroom with just two other guests, ensuring a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The immediate surroundings were fantastic, with two charming bars just 20 meters away on either side of the street. Don't worry about noise – it won't disrupt your sleep. Additionally, a large supermarket is conveniently located within less than 100 meters, making it easy to grab essentials. For dining options, the area offers a variety of choices, including Armenian cuisine. For an authentic Uruguayan experience I would recommend "Parrillada El Alemán," (15 min walk) a restaurant featured in Anthony Bourdain's food documentary "Parts Unknown" during his visit to Uruguay. Try the sweet "morcilla"!. Not too far away but easily reachable by bus is "Escaramuza," a beautiful bookstore and cafe. Or grab one of the best "chevito" I had at "El Tinkal" with a view of the ramblas. Moreover, the beach is just a short 15-minute walk away from the house, providing a perfect escape to the sun and sea. The entire house is not only clean but also well-maintained, and the host, Veronica, was incredibly helpful, making me feel truly welcome. With bus stops just a few minutes away, it's convenient to explore Ciudad Vieja and beyond. Overall, my stay was enriched by the delightful combination of a great location, comfortable amenities, and the warm hospitality of Veronica. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Uruguay.

Edificio Quijano býður upp á gistirými í 500 metra fjarlægð frá miðbæ Montevideo og er með verönd og sameiginlega setustofu. A really spacious, comfortable and well-appointed apartment in an impressive building. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed the whole experience.

We chose the accommodation because it was in the area Pocitos and we knew from our last visit that it was one of the best areas in Montevideo We opted for breakfast and also dinner with an extra, but more than reasonable cost. The food was adapted to our needs and wishes, very healthy, with fresh vegetables and fruits. Especially the authentic Asado which Mariella made with and for us in one of the last evenings was an unique, unforgetable experience. We were also offered a transfer service to Punta del Este, paying a really affordable price. We did take it and enjoyed her detailed information about the sightseeings on the route and additionally a nice picnic on the top of the Punta Ballena with an amazing view over the ocean. The Internet reapectively WIFI is fast and reliable and allowed me to perform my work remotely whithout any problems. The room covered our basic needs as turists, the bedding and towels were really clean and they were changed every day... We had also the possibility to wash our personal clothes and laundry at no costs. The garden is small but sunny and peaceful. Mariela is a warm and trustworthy person, we enjoyed every day of our stay and at the end we felt like we left back a family member. Based on our experience I would recommend this accommodation.

El secreto Casa Art er vel staðsett í Ciudad Vieja-hverfinu í Montevideo, 400 metra frá Independencia-torginu, 300 metra frá Solis-leikhúsinu og 1,1 km frá Cagancha-torginu. This was not an accomindation for us, but additional lovely experience to visiting Montevideo. Owners are young artists renovating a culutural heritage house in the old town. You can feel here history melting with their new energy with sesinble artistic approach. They will welcome you as friends in their house and you can feel it is sincere. We had fabulous time together, we will recommend the place to all friends without a doubt and would love to meet them again.

Casa del Mar er staðsett í aðeins 400 metra fjarlægð frá Buceo og býður upp á gistirými í Montevideo með grillaðstöðu, sameiginlegri setustofu og sameiginlegu eldhúsi. The location is great. The kitchen has everything you need for daily cooking. Room is cosy and comfortable. Wi-Fi worked very well.

Casa Magallanes býður upp á gistirými í Montevideo, 1,1 km frá Cagancha-torgi. Ókeypis WiFi er hvarvetna á gististaðnum. Gistirýmið er með aðgang að sameiginlegri baðherbergisaðstöðu. The room is big, clean and nice. In mine there were 4 people but there was plenty of space. Both the bathrooms and the room are really clean. The host is kind and funny. The location is convenient. On the top of the building there is a nice balcony. For it has to offer it is very cheap! I would definitely choose this place in the future.

I have to start by saying that how the bungalow is located and how it looks is absolutely amazing and wowed us. When choosing this hostel, take the bungalow if it is available! The price is also very good. Casa Vegana is located on one of the main streets and is surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafes, but it is quiet and peaceful. The hostel itself is decorated in a very original style and the bungalow is the finishing touch. The person we contacted was very friendly and helpful, we could not have expected more. As for the facilities in the bungalow, it was everything you would expect. Please note that Casa Vegana is against violence towards animals, so the cooked food is to be of animal origin. There was air conditioning in the bungalow. In general we were delighted, we could not find a better place in Montevideo.
