Estancia Hosteria El Ceibo, country house in Florida

Horse riding, bird-watching and contact with farm animals can be enjoyed in this traditional gaucho inspired ranch house with a fireplace, in full Pampa plains style. There is free Wi-Fi.

Estancia hosteria El Ceibo has plenty of outdoor space to explore as well as garden seating areas by the fountain. The inn features shaded Spanish galleries with red-tiled floors. Canoeing and fishing are also available.

Carmen and Joselo were incredibly welcoming. I really enjoyed sharing mealtimes with them, and getting to know the stories of their life and the estancia. The location is wonderfully remote and peaceful, but an easy drive from Montevideo. Horse trekking around the estancia, the local wildlife (fireflies, humming birds, insects, frogs), and plenty of spots for reading a book made for a very relaxing weekend stay

    Beautiful peaceful location and the farm feels authentic and alive. José took his time to show us around a bit, which we really appreciated. We joined a special holiday barbecue event one day, was absolutely delicious!

    if you want a rural setting miles from anywhere with amazing hosts this is the place. it’s a fair drive from Florida and the accommodation is basic but wow is it worth it just to soak up that peace an quiet. The hosts cooked us an amazing meal and took time to show us their ranch . I only wish we had more than one night.
