Location was primary reason for choosing this accomodation. Went off season to avoid crowds.
Just 1640 feet from the beach in Calabria’s Costa Degli Dei coastline, the 5-star Hotel Porto Pirgos offers 2 outdoor pools and a free private beach. Spacious and elegant rooms overlook the sea.

A small friendly safe place with everything we needed for our holiday - a couple of local shops, cafes and excellent restaurants. You can walk to the wonderful Michelino Beach and it’s a very short drive into the historic town of Tropea.

Parghelia is a lovely small village very close to the touristy Tropea. In fact one can see Tropea from Parghelia. It is quiet, yet charming with a few wonderful restaurants and friendly people. Would rather stay here than Tropea. Easy to walk anywhere in Parghelia. Recommend Villino Eleonora to stay as a lovely property with a wonderful family and host, Alessandro.

There were no beach towels available, so you have to bring your own.
our room faced the street, so there was a lot of noise in our room, so if you like a quiet sleep in weather that the windows can be open, it would be good to request a sea facing room, I would have done that, had I known

An ancient Greek town from the "Magna Grecia era" which took its name from the Greek word "Παραλία-Paralia" which means beach. A beautiful historical and tranquil small town that preserves old family values. A beautiful church dedicated to Saint Andrew "Chiesa di Sant'Andrea" located in the center and a small but very interesting parish museum "Museo Parrocchiale Parghelia" where they exhibit a small part of the history of the town, the asylum for infants "Asilo Infantile Mariannina Meligrana" which is currently on renovation are only few of the landmarks of the town worth visiting not to mention risto's and cafe's for local cuisine and not only.
Michelino's white sand beach, that took its name from Saint Michael is a breathtaking paradise for those who love nature in a non-commercial aspect. A beach where you can enjoy a spectacular panorama with the Stroboli serving as the backdrop.
Where do I begin to describe this amazing Location. This family run hotel was amazingly helpful and accommodating. I’d give them 11 stars if I could. Our cellphones stopped working in Lamezia airport and they saved us by calling us a cab that showed up in 10 minutes. Their shuttle will take you to and from town as well whenever you need it. The hotel itself is stunning with a roof top view of the sunset and Tropea. We made a few mistakes and they still remained super friendly. We intend to come back every year if they will have us!
Words cannot express how fantastically luxurious this hotel is! all. The room is equipped with more than you may even need. A private terrace with an area of more than 20 square meters is surrounded by flowers! The TV has a USB input for a flash drive with TV series! Breakfast...I have visited hundreds of hotels all over the world - here is the most delicious, fresh and varied! All week I was in pleasant amazement!!! Now go to this hotel immediately, without involving others in long trips! I recommend it! You will be happy here!
hotel tirreno was the best surprise of my trip. first it was very beautiful and charming as the pictures showed, but as they say: you go by the place you come back by the service and this was the best i ever had. the staff is really INCREDIBLE: Helena, Alesso, Alan and all the others are simply AMAZING. the best tips of restaurants, beaches, where to see the best sunset. the trip could not have been better. I strongly recommend booking a room with view front. it is simply beautiful.
Wow! Incredible property and incredible hosts & staff! Absolutely beautiful, gorgeous views, easy walk to beach, easy walk to local restaurants. Short 2-minute drive to “downtown” (we had our own rental car and parked in the lot of the hotel), in the downtown we ate some of the best meals we had in Italy. Plus shops and tourist things. The best part—the amazing & delicious breakfast the hotel provides. Just wow! We had the best stay!!
Small cosy B&B with four rooms, but huge garden near the beach with view to Tropea. If you are looking for a quiet & relaxed stay in Calabria - this is it! Very friendly & helpful owner Stefania! She gives you the best tips for the beautiful beach spots which you can reach on foot.
Breakfast with ocean view and daily fresh croissants from bakery. I will come again!
Easily reach Tropea by train (from Parghelia train station to Tropea 5 min.).
We had an apartment on the top floor with a a terace and a beautiful view - we could watch the sunset every evening right from the terace. The path to the beach looked like a rainforest and was covered with trees and beautiful flowers. Even though the path was a bit steep we didn't mind it. The beach near the exit of the path was very nice and not overcrowded. I am glad we chose Parghelia over Tropea as Tropea was too noisy and overcrowded.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The pool was large and great to cool off during the extremely hot weather. The buffet breakfast offered a fantastic variety of foods (thank you -Gianni). Lunches by the pool were also very good. The entire hotel is great value!ocation was close to city center and the beach, the shuttles were great. We will definitely return.
Great boutique hotel with wonderful personnel, comfortable beds, super clean, delicious breakfast . 3 min shuttle to one of the best beach in the world . When we come one day earlier than expected, they went in and beyond to accommodate us. Quiet , beautiful pool, great bar. Recommendations for restaurants from Olga was very good. Can’t find any downside . Hope to come back soon.
For us it was a great experience to spend our holidays at Voi Tropea hotel , it was in an amazing place where the sea was turquoise in color. The service staff at the restaurant was very good, especially guys, Bruno, Antonio, Niko, ect. Very good food , very clean and very quiet. The hotel staff it was very helpfuly
Very friendly staff at pousada café which is across the street. You can get drinks and pizza or salad. Wonderfull scenery with cliffs and beaches. Sea is crystal clear. Walking distance from Tropea (or 5min car ride or 1 train stop) but would preffer Parghelia next time too - it is calmer and the beach is even nicer.
Hotel Tirreno is a jewel on Calabria.
Beautiful, extremely clean; wonderful friendly and helpful staff! Olga and Stefania helped us to choose restaurants and gave advice on places to visit. Very tasteful breakfast. Our children already plan to go to Tirreno. Highly recommend!
Nice large clean rooms, beautiful pool area, close to Tropea and other beaches and exceptional staff! They were very welcoming to us. We drove almost 5 hours down from Naples. The view from the hotel was amazing. If you love the Amalfi coast, this is worth a visit!
Excellant location along Tropea area coast. Tony and his family are gracious hosts of brand new modern B&B rooms that felt like 4 star hotel. Continental breakfast at the American down the street. Walking distance to excellant beach and beach club.
The very spacious apartment and garden are beautiful! The host is very friendly and will accomdate you with everything you need. The location is perfect; close to Tropea, the beach and Parghelia! We went by train and could walk everywhere.
Amazing roof with pool, jacuzzi and most of all a fantastic view. Staff at the hotel are awesome, friendly and charming. Location is top, right between 2 of the best beaches and very near Tropea. Hope to be back soon!
Location was fantastic with great views of the sea and the town of Tropea. Easy to get to the beach and to Tropea each less than a 5 minute drive. The family that owns the hotel were fantastic, we felt like family.
The apartment is located in the hotel complex, you can use the local swimming pool. We liked the view as it is located on a hill. The equipment is sufficient, clothes dryer, grill and outdoor seating are nice
Villa itself was amazing and hosts were super friendly! As a person who doesnt like hanging around hotel during holiday, this villa is such a nice place to be, that you wouldn't want to leave!
The breakfast is good and plentiful
Especially having it on the lovely terrace. The staff is kind and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Would comeback and highly recommend this Hotel.
