Regret to book & stay in Lara lake view resort, Poovar. No room service, restaurant is far away. Toilet seat in WCommode is broken. No intercom telephone 15 inch steep gap inside room, in between bed and floor area, floor to washroom entry. My co tourists fell down twice, as couldn't make the steep distance. Horrible & worst experience. We called Local Police Station over phone to help us. Dinner was served in the room after 1 hr 45 mins. Order taken at 5pm, dinner was ready at 8:30pm, dinner was served in our room at 9:45pm. Don't ever think to stay here.

Joseph, the Manager, was very helpful, pleasant and professional. He is trying hard to bring the hotel up to standard. He arranged a car to take us to local sites. He addressed every issue we had, but sadly when he was not around some of the other staff let him down. They were uninterested, unhelpful and rude at times. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Bar staff were good. The bedroom was comfortable. We were the only guests in the hotel so I assume that this was why food was limited.

The overall experience was good. Check-in was smooth. The rooms were spacious and could accommodate an extra bed and our dog. The overall layout of the resort is excellent, and it is well-maintained. The greenery is one of the best I have experienced. The resort is located near the lake. The entire area is well-maintained. The check-out was also very smooth.
