When I booked the property it was advertised to have free wifi, 9mins from Bolpur station and a restaurant serving all sorts of food. In reality, some rooms of the property has free wifi (you have to tell the staff that you would “need wifi”) and then they will adjust. The restaurant is not opened yet (which I realised at dinner time). As the place is in the middle of rice fields (beautiful scene though), there is no way you would get food if you are not willing to ask the somewhat unfriendly staff to bring it for you from outside. Also, the place is 9.4 km from Bolpur with no connectivity unless you have a car or a toto driver who would take you around. Also, the security is not 24/7, there is no one in the gates if you want to check out early. You have to call people all the time for any service. However, the propery is new (and hopefully things will improve over time), and very clean. The beds are very firm and may be uncomfortable for people not used to it. At this time, it is overselling. I am hopeful they will improve their services as they settle down in the business. And also provide more honest description on booking.com. I was fooled by it.

The old natural beauty and ambience is going to be destroyed very fast because of rapid aggration of the commercial building structures in and around 'khoai' areas.
City areas including Bhuandanga has become congested mostly due to enormous number of totos.

For us Bolpur meant Santiniketan and the Poush Mela ftom 24 to 26 December 19. It was all a memorable and rejuvenating expetience. Thoroughy enjoyed the huge mela with baul singing, a huge variety of authentic local craft items, delicious local snax and a stamp local culture. Moving around in Viswabharati campus was a never before experience of how an ideal educational institution should be. Well maintained buildings of Tagore era, soothing environment made it all. Visit to Sonajhuri local haat a 2 kms away was another add on to remember.
Keep enough space in your bags for shopping.

Viswa Bharati University is worth the visit.
Viswa Bharati University is worth the visit. The museum showcasing Gurudev’s life journey is amazing. Only thing is they shut at 1 pm for lunch. There were hundreds of tourists coming from far off places so they should keep it open entire day
Very comfortable cottage with all modern ammenities -ideal for a short stay. Beautiful location -present in a gated secure complex, quiet and peaceful away from the crowded streets of the main Bolpur town. The host Mr Ghoshal is friendly and communication has always been easy. The caretaker Mary is also equally warm and welcoming. Finally, It is pet friendly - which is a blessing and our dog loves it as much as we do❤️.
I have not taken any meal or breakfast here. The area of the hotel is large. Flower gardens and a small pool made the front view so nice. It is situated beside forest area, so far from the city. I suggest you to come here with personal car. There is car parking place with driver's accommodation, as I came. Although, they can provid battery van (TOTO) on your request.
Beautiful wooded and resort like setting. Nicely sets the mood for a visit to Shantiniketan. Each room is set up like an independent thatched hut with a veranda in front. There were only half a dozen units which enhanced the feeling of privacy. The staff were very friendly, especially the owner who was extremely helpful.
Nearest location from Bolpur-Santiniketan rail station. Neat and clean room with beautiful balcony. Excellent roof garden. Manager was co-operative in all time. Coffee, Breakfast, Lunch and dinner was excellent. Excellent stay with family. Short distance from Visva Bharati campus, khoai, sonaghiri, Ballavpur sanctuary.
