OK Divers Resort & Spa, hotel in Padangbai

Boasting beachfront accommodation and a sizeable outdoor pool, OK Divers Resort & Spa is located in Padangbai.

I'm very disappointed in our stay at OK Diver's. Kids liked the pool, but that was about all that was ok about the place. However, pool area and tiled floors and stairs were extremely slippery when wet. The kids took a few tumbles.

Dewi Villa, hotel in Padangbai

Offering an outdoor pool and views of the mountains, Dewi Villa is situated in Padangbai in the Bali Region, 900 metres from Padangbai Bay .

We only slept for one night to take the morning boat to other islands. It’s not a holiday accommodation, mostly a passing-by for 1 night. Kind staff.

Kerti Beach Bungalow and Restaurant, hotel in Padangbai

Situated 600 metres from Padang Bai Harbor, Kerti Beach Bungalow and Restaurant features an outdoor pool and a restaurant. Free parking is provided for guests who drive.

Great for overnight stay to catch the ferry the next day, via a 10 minute walk or as we had a lot of luggage we got a taxi. The room was a good size and although a little tired was very clean and tidy. Very little outside noise although not peak season. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really tasty and a good variety to choose from.

Harmony Guest House, hotel in Padangbai

Situated just 200 metres away from Padangbai Bay, Harmony Guest House offers simple and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi access.

Location was perfect, right next to the harbor. Breakfast was really good and filling. Bathroom had a vent that worked automatically when you turn the light on (haven't seen that anywhere else). Hosts were lovely, helpful and got us the best possible fast boat. It was brand new, AC was great, crew were professional. The hosts took us on a tour to the first Balinese village where authentic traditions are still being practiced to date (it was like a throwback in time!), also took us to a silver-making workshop in Sideman which was a super cool experience- all at very reasonable prices. 100% recommend to solo travelers, couples or a small family.

CASA MIMBA - Seaview Private Pool Villa Padangbai, hotel in Padangbai

Located a 25-minute walk from Blue Lagoon Beach, CASA MIMBA - Seaview Private Pool Villa Padangbai has beach view and self-catering accommodation in Mimba Beach at Padangbai.

Fantastic villa / kind of private hotel with 3 women from the village taking care of house, doing the dishes, pool and garden. Making daily breakfast or (as we skipped breakfast) made lunch. We stayed with 2 people, so got one bedroom. Bloo Lagun beach for snorkling, with a small but fine warung, is on the other side of Padangbai (don't take a boat from the harbour, just walk or drive yourself). Our contact with the host, Emelia was very good, she helped and adviced us with driver/ taxi and the planning of some activities. Also helpfull when we needed a doctor. First we stayed a week. A week later, when our travel plans changed, we just decided to return for some more days. This villa is a good place to find some days rest during / after travelling in busy Bali or Indonesia.

We had never heard of PadangBai and only visited to catch the ferry to Nusa Lebongan. Pleasantly surprised to find this small town offering good restaurants, live music (Omani Omang), good diving (Absolute Dive), and pretty scenery. The negative is the amount of plastic garbage in the sea and on the beaches. I don’t know if this is common to the region, but I strongly recommend the communities make a concerted effort to clean this up. The plastic garbage was appalling and detracted from the ambience.

The pier wasn't as bad as expected although the condition could be improved considering it's very busy and frequented by many tourists every day! Be careful if porter scam as someone will approach you asking to help and will charge you in the end for the service. If you need an assistance, do agree in advance on the fee. Do note that a harbor tax is compulsory at IDR10,000 per person.

We stayed at Padangbai to catch the fast boat to Gili .

We stayed at Padangbai to catch the fast boat to Gili . We got up early as the drive in showed us a very pretty part of Bali we have never seen. This is a very cute little fishing village and gateway to Lombok and all it's Islands. The locals are very friendly and honest. My husband left his mobile phone in the taxi and the hotel called the taxi driver who had it back in 5 minutes (he was thrilled at the 100,000 Rp roughly $10 AUD tip) There was a good selection of restaurants on the waterfront offering lovely fresh Indonesian and Western food we loved the Ikan Bakkat (fish in banana leaves) spicy and delicious. The Cocktails did not disappoint either and my husband welcomed a few cleansing Bintang Beers.

There are afew nice places to eat along the front we stayed 1 afternoon and night before travelling to the gills and that’s enough nothing to see here really. Good food tho in both restaurants on the front we picked and there was also plenty of people selling snacks etc at the harbour. It is like most places in Bali, chaotic with traffic and the people especially the harbour.

There is a small port town which is ok. A few beaches nearby are a bit surprising given that its a busy port. I would never return to this port, as Sanur is more sane. You will be in line and feel like a hearded animal before you even get onto the boat, try to avoid this experience. FastboatGili changed our reservation, said it was overbooked even though had a deposit in advance. Morning of boat departure the boat company tried to rip us off...just be clear on what you paid and your balance, dont be intimidated. The boats from here are generally overpriced but not much you can do about it.

my second time staying for one night at the bay view house on my way to gili air, and i can’t recommend it enough! this time i had the top floor room which is even better than the one below (which is also great!) and it was amazing! very spacious, simple but clean and comfortable and the balcony is awesome! the staff are very friendly and helpful. they can arrange the airport pickup and ferry tickets for you. for what i needed - a short stay in padangbai, this place which is a stone’s throw away from the harbour is the right one!

Traditional Balinese house, lovely family, beautiful small children, very willing to help, hold conversations, share their lives. Good people. Room was large, big bed, comfortable, own bathroom, kitchen area and pool. This creates a feeling of connection to the family, and the challenges of illness in the old man. Wayan, the matriarch, brings breakfast free when she sees you are awake. Putu Nita is a great support ; her husband is also in tourism. This was an intimate encounter which will lead to real sharing with a longer stay.

Padangbai Beach Inn is the perfect place to stay before catching a ferry to the Gili Islands or Lombok. I highly recommend staying in an ocean front room where you can watch the fisherman come & go from your balcony. There are nice restaurants close by for dinner and breakfast at the hotel was everything you need - also looking out to the water & watching locals going about their daily life. The ferry terminal is about 300m away so it was an easy walk in the morning to catch the ferry.

The owners are a very friendly local family and are original Padang Bai residents. They were extremely helpful and took great care of us, especially when my mum was sick for several days during our stay. Staying at Celagi, while on the budget side, gave us a wonderful insight into local life and culture. The breakfast was excellent and the view from the rooftop terrace over the harbour was always something to look forward to in the mornings.

The staff was so friendly and it is a nice and cosy hotel. The room was very clean and had AC, which was very welcome! You could also make use of the pool as a refreshment and enjoy a lovely breakfast on the terrace. The hotel is only 1km away from Padang bai centre and close to the white sand beach, which for us was perfect: close to everything but not in the busy main streets :). I really recommend this hotel!

Great restaurant, located directly at blue lagoon. If we come back to bali, we will definitely come back for a longer stay to the really chill and relaxing bloo lagoon village!!

The family that owns this hotel are the sweetest people, so kind and helpful. The breakfast is very good and a nice full meal. Served on the roof top with a fine view and a sweet soft breeze which is a nice respite from the heat. It is very conveniently located near shops and restaurants and the boardwalk and pier.

I cannot speak more highly of our stay at Marcel’s. the rooms have the most breathtaking views, they are comfortable, spacious, clean, and we felt so welcomed and happy to stay with everyone. We learned so much about Balinese culture from Marcel, which enriched our travels, and we cannot wait to go back :))

The location is great because it's very close to the harbor. The breakfast was nice, too. I mean, it's just a regular homestay that you can find all over Bali. Really, nothing out of the ordinary. If you're traveling to Lombok or Gili, it can be a good place to crash,
