Montigo Resorts, Somerset, hotel in Pilton

At Charlton we appreciate what sits at the very heart of the premium hotel experience: a perfect night's sleep.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty but unfortunately my husband and I were put off by all the dead flies that were sat on the conservatory window sill next to our table. They were there at a different table when we had dinner the night before. Wouldn't take much to remove them surely!! We didn't use the spa this time.

This is a small, sleepy, rural village.

This is a small, sleepy, rural village. I have friends here - the reason for visiting. It's very quiet, characterful and has that slight Glastonbury quirkiness to it. Beautiful old cottages and house roll down and up the hillsides with a river/stream at the bottom. Very quiet. You can destress here.
