I'll start with the two disadvantages of staying here - the distance from the city and the late hour (21:30) for dinner. If you don't mind that, you will likely be as happy with this property as I, espcially if you prefer unique properties over the standard hotel. It is composed of two buildings: the main house and the rooms (which are separate from the main house). In the main house is a bar and a common area which was inviting and well furnished. And though I listed it as a disadvantage, you might acually be happy with the location. It is a 20-minute drive to town, but that means it is not in the town! That means you can enjoy the beautiful countryside, the absence of crowds and noise, and the serentiy that this property offers. Also, though the dinner was late, it was the best meal I had in my 16-day travel to Portugal and Spain. In fact, it was the most tasty meal I've had in a year probably. (Note: you will need to let management know before 16:00 if you will be attending. One other note: it is easy to miss the turn off the road. Communicate with management about this turn before you trust your navigation.) I loved the Casa Grande and would choose it again if I were to return to Santiago.
Well placed for visiting both Galicia’s ancient monuments and its stunning coastline, this new hotel provides the perfect place to relax, just 2.5 mi from Santiago de Compostela.

Luis, the host and owner, is a superstar! He is kind, caring, friendly, and he fosters a family-like feel at his beautiful home. There’s some renovation in progress that will make it even nicer…but we loved the private rooms and large outdoor spaces. It’s worth the short walk off the Camino for this gem.

We liked the atmosphere of the house. Big house with lots of common areas, garden and pool. Very quite and lovely neighborhood. Parking on site no problem. Breakfast was very tasty.

Wonderful 2 night stay to visit Santiago de Compestela.
Wonderful 2 night stay to visit Santiago de Compestela. We had the benefit of a car and could travel into the city, so really enjoyed the peace and quiet of Troitosende.
It’s very remote, so you definitely need your own transport to go and eat. However, we took the option of breakfast delivered to our room, delicious.
The Hot Tub was amazing, we just sat relaxing with a chilled wine after a busy day sightseeing. Would definitely recommend.
