We felt that Alla, our hostess, did everything to make us feel at home, and to become familiar with La Spezia. She even reserved our first night's meal and walked us there. The accommodation had a splendid location, both for the views from the balcony and because the buses, the restaurants, the supermarket were all close. The kitchen was well equipped for home cooking when we wanted that.
