Facilities are not fancy, but you have exactly what you need, a comfortable, safe and friendly place to rest and sleep. The owner speaks excellent English and is kind, friendly and helpful. The room had a TV, air conditioning, a comfortable bed, working toilet, sink and shower. There is a common area with a serviceable kitchen, with fridge, sink and stove. There is a small secure parking lot in the back. Again, this is not the Hyatt, but it it is a very economical, clean and safe place to stay. If you want to live like a local, this is your place. Plenty of small shops, markets, and eateries all within walking distance and it's only a 20 or so minute walk to the bus terminal. You can see all the sights of Chitre from here.

Offering an outdoor pool, Gran Hotel Azuero is located in Chitré. It features an elegant on-site restaurant, in addition to extensive meeting and banquet facilities with free Wi-Fi. Great value, breakfast was wonderful and staff was friendly! Our room was quiet and clean. Love staying here!
