The house is comfortably sized for four, kitchen is well-equipped, there are clear instructions where needed. This is a family vacation home rather than just a tourist cottage, and it really felt like something special the owners were sharing with us.

Laxhús is situated in Laxamýri, 85 km from Akureyri. Free private parking is available on site. Husavik is 8 km away. All units feature a flat-screen TV. Some units have a seating area and/or terrace.... Absolutely adorable little cabin with sheep wondering around. So cute!!

Vetursetur is a holiday home with a terrace, located in Aðaldalur. The property is 80 km from Akureyri and free private parking is provided. This cabin is not the most modern and chic but it felt so cosy and authentic. The lava formations around it were magical and it made for a great first base for us in Iceland and we stayed 2 nights - we really felt like we'd arrived somewhere really different. We love wildlife and were delighted to find a snipe on the porch on the first evening, loads of golden plover (including chicks), redwing and curlew. It was super cold when we arrived (weather obviously not the fault of the owner!) - about 4 degrees C in July, the wind was really going for it too - the small radiators were on and we quickly found the heater and were very cosy in no time. The bedrooms are very compact as is the bathroom but everything worked and was comfortable. We loved the inclusion of a good bean to cup coffee maker too. The location was excellent for days out in Husavik and Myvatn, we would have been happy to even have stayed a bit longer. It is off the beaten track, but the owner gave us super clear directions and we had no trouble finding it at all.

Featuring free WiFi and a barbecue, Skógar Sunset Guesthouse offers accommodation 13 km from Húsavík. Each self-catering studio features a kitchen with a stove top, microwave and fridge. Guesthouse was very clean and cosy, with giant comfort bed 😊

Located 5 km from central Húsavík, Saltvík Farm Guesthouse offers accommodation with views of the surrounding mountains and Skjálfandi Bay. I strongly recommend this guesthouse! Our room with private bathroom was so clean and pretty and the view from our window was spectacular. If I ever find myself on the north of Iceland again (which I hope I will) I will most definitely book here. We met only one person (the owner probably) and she was super nice. The location itself is very remote, on the way to Husavik, and probably perfect for seeing northern lights (we haven't because of the bad weather).

The place was magnificent. This was our best stay in Iceland thus far. The room was comfortable with a table outside and a view to a waterfall. We stayed later than any other during our visit to Iceland. I highly recommend staying here.

Ubytovanie Kaldbaks-kot cottages sa nachádza v destinácii Húsavík v oblasti Severný Island 45 km od miesta Vodopád Godafoss. The cottages are perfect - 3 mins carride from Husavik. We loved the hottubs and the lake with two boats that we could use for free.

Located in Húsavík, this apartment features a garden with a sun terrace. Guests benefit from terrace. Free private parking is available on site. Having a washing machine and dryer when you’re away for 1 month was a godsend and really helpful. The apartment is also so spacious and being able to cook meals saves you money.
