It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant, Hotel Villa Caribe is set in gardens overlooking Izabal Lake and the Caribbean Sea. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was gorgeous and the staff were so helpful

We also loved our view on the large balcony. The hotel restaurant is outstanding, excellent food with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. We would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in the area.
